My name is Dr. Olaf Jakobsen, born in 1969, and I have been a German tour operator specializing in individual and sustainable holidays in Seychelles since 2008. A committed environmentalist since 1983, I have always prioritized respecting and protecting nature.

After studying geology and working as a scientist, I first visited Seychelles in 2008 as a volunteer on a student excursion. The beauty of the islands—the granite rocks, turquoise sea, unique beaches, lush vegetation, and the welcoming Seychellois—captivated me. Convinced I’d found paradise, I began encouraging others to visit and experience Seychelles for themselves.

One principle of my work is to support small local businesses and sustainable tourism. I travel to Seychelles regularly to meet with my partners, to find new ones and to keep up with the development, especially concerning sustainability and environmentalism. I was very happy to learn about Protect Paradise’s activities through social media and I have decided to support their precious work. Next to financial support I raise the awareness of my clients for the concerns of Protect Paradise and provide advice on how to travel respectfully.
